  8. Ingevity Insider Transactions Over The Last Year
Over the last year, we can see that the biggest insider purchase was by insider D. Wilson for US$483k worth of shares, at about US$65.43 per share. So it's clear an insider wanted to buy, at around the current price, which is US$67.73. While their view may have changed since the purchase was made, this does at least suggest they have had confidence in the company's future. While we always like to see insider buying, it's less meaningful if the purchases were made at much lower prices, as the opportunity they saw may have passed. Happily, the Ingevity insiders decided to buy shares at close to current prices.

Over the last year, we can see that insiders have bought 26.97k shares worth US$1.4m. But they sold 217.00 shares for US$12k. Overall, Ingevity insiders were net buyers during the last year. The average buy price was around US$51.91.
