Virgin Galactic gets lift from planned rocket-powered flight Dec. 02, 2020 7:38 AM ETVirgin Galactic Holdings, Inc. (SPCE) Building on a 6.5% gain from Tuesday, Virgin Galactic (NYSE:SPCE) shares are up another 3% in premarket trade as the company prepares for its first rocket-powered flight from New Mexico. This mission will be the third for VSS Unity out of Spaceport America, but the last two have been gliding flights, not propulsive ones. The new flight window will open on December 11, pending good weather conditions and technical readiness, after spaceflight preparations were paused in response to New Mexico guidelines to reduce the spread of COVID-19. The launch is expected to fulfill a number of objectives, including testing elements of the customer cabin as well as assessing the upgraded horizontal stabilizers and flight controls during boost. The flight will also carry payloads as part of the NASA Flight Opportunities Program. "While on this occasion no media or guests will be allowed onsite, our team will endeavor to capture and share the beautiful images with the world after the flight has been completed," Virgin Galactic CEO Michael Colglazier declared. "We look forward to completing this important milestone in our test flight program in the coming weeks."

More than going to Mars and paying Millions I see a bunch of these sub orbital planes taking about six of us to Egypt!
