The nod includes OraSure's (NASDAQ:OSUR) ORAcollect-RNA device for the collection of saliva swab samples. I know it's early but at some point won't these ganja stocks move-? In New Jersey, potentially the largest new state market if voters approve the similar ballot initiative there, annual sales of legal adult-use cannabis could reach $1.8 billion by 2024, according to New Frontier Data. The state would become the first Mid-Atlantic state to approve recreational cannabis and could draw significant demand from neighboring states. The latest polling on the ballot initiative shows nearly two-thirds of likely voters approve of legalizing cannabis.
State ballot measures to legalize cannabis could add $9 billion to US marijuana market September 24, 2020, 7:15 AM Despite a delay in the U.S. House of Representatives vote for a bill that would seek to legalize cannabis at the national level, the legal cannabis market in the U.S. still stands to substantially grow as more states plan to let voters decide whether they want to legalize it. According to a new report from cannabis market firm New Frontier Data, state ballot measures slated for 2020 in five states — Arizona, Mississippi, Montana, New Jersey and South Dakota — could be the green light for adding $9 billion dollars to the size of the nation’s legal cannabis market if all are approved by voters this November. “The 2020 election could be one of the most consequential and historical events to change the landscape of the legal U.S cannabis industry,” New Frontier Data CEO Giadha DeCarcer said in a release. “With $9 billion in new revenue from 2022-2025, should all five states ballot measures pass, New Frontier Data estimates that revenues from all legal U.S. markets will reach $35.1B in 2025.” In a way, the upcoming state votes could have a more immediate impact on legal cannabis in the U.S. than even the delayed House vote on the Marijuana Opportunity, Reinvestment, and Expungement (MORE) Act would have since it’s not expected to be taken up as long as Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell remains atop the Republican-controlled chamber.
$38 My favorite value tech stk remains Silicon Motion. why?- $38. This stock has been $38 and no higher for the entirety of this thread. In fact going back a year I looked at the stk at $36. Always it seems between $36-$38 in a raging bull market that can be annoying! But SIMO I don't think is a joke stock. Some tech stocks just have weird trading histories where some number arbitrarily rivets itself to the stk and the stock price always seems to return to it. ON semi is like this with $22. Great company, great stock, great product wait long enough it will be $22. You learn these things over the years. So SIMO recognized that the market was not going to reward it ever... their niche in tech is just not what the market is looking for but it's stable... and so the company began paying a healthy dividend. Very healthy 3+%. Silicon Motion: 3.7% yield Silicon Motion (NASDAQ:SIMO) is a much smaller business than Broadcom or IBM and its dividend policy is much younger, but the storage controller specialist is showing a serious commitment to cash-based shareholder returns, and its payouts have doubled in four years. This company spent 57% of its trailing free cash flows on dividend checks, leaving plenty of wiggle room for future payout boosts. Silicon Motion's yield stands at 3.7% today. Low share prices played an important part in these generous yields because the stock has fallen 25% in 2020. We're talking about a leading provider of controller processors for storage systems based on NAND flash memory chips, and that's a difficult place to do business this year. Consumer demand is weak for devices with lots of NAND memory, such as smartphones and tablet computers. NAND-based enterprise storage devices are heading into the mainstream, softening the blow to some degree, but many investors still worry about permanent damage to Silicon Motion's most important target market.<--- That is the crux of the problem/ opportunity tablets are they done? I think they have lost momentum and reason to exist outside of the medical world... but it is also a ripe area for invention. A tablet that is truly a gamer's tablet or a tablet that just looks really good and maybe is also is a SONO type speaker... Tablets that you install into walls- like the Mirror.... Tablets that you install onto cheap exercise bikes to turn them into mini-Pelatons... That's just off the top of my head. I wouldn't bury the tablet yet... Smartphones I thought were holding up. everyone has one is that the problem? So A New cycle of phones with Augmented Reality will that jump start that area of the market? SIMO s trading at just 12 times forward earnings estimates and includes a generous and fully cash-backed dividend policy. So back to $38... like I was saying with the market ripping higher that $38 is just annoying... After the last few weeks... That $38 looks GOOD!
Alright I have to go to Ct after lunch. And see how my orange tape that I tried so hard to get right has been removed and a new ugly tape put over another 4 feet... Total now of nine. That's lifting thirty boulders and moving them nine feet. This is World strongest man stuff... then I sleghammer a floor for what-? push a 500 pound all rock table over and it's done -- a ruin! For waht! Freakin' Land Trust... trust in what! To do absolutely nothing in the woods... That's me feeding the animals. Ok I think Boxlight is the way to go. All that money the stk has steadied and it's in the right area-- They have started using the money already!- Bought some patents today. WORK I'm not sold on. I like CHWY & ALLY For Now-- CHWY @ 53.80 // ALLY @ 23.34 <------- And take a flyer on BOXL @ 1.45
Merck Covid vaccines match 'Operation Warp Speed' description, Bloomberg says 10:07 MRK The description provided yesterday by the government's "Operation Warp Speed" chief adviser Moncef Slaoui of a final coronavirus vaccine it plans to add to the program closely matches the details of vaccines being developed by Merck (MRK), Riley Griffin of Bloomberg reports. During a presentation Wednesday, Slaoui described a to-be-determined vaccine that would be "live attenuated" and administered in a single dose, potentially in oral form rather than an injection. Merck has two coronavirus vaccines in development that match that description, relying on the same technology and being tested as a single dose, Griffin reports.
Why don't you ask them if they will draw up an official agreement, that you'll pay for (lawyers like that), that you agree to move it any time at their will, and the agreement transfers to any subsequent owners of their land trust if its not hurting anything, which it sounds like its not. Also tell them to put in the agreement that if you ever sell, that you will remove it before you leave. Tell them to also include a clause that indemnifies them from any possible liability that might occur as a result of any action your part and let them know you have a million dollar umbrella policy that they can go against if anything were to ever happen. Not that it ever would, but these are lawyers after all. Its worth a try stoney. And call them, ...f email. Or go visit them. Things like this always work better person to person. They may go for that if you're nice. They just don't want some kind of encroachment on the title insurance if they ever sell. That and any perceived liabilities. Can't blame em really.
When I think like that I agree-- Can't blame them but when I think about a 30 acre preserve and they are down at the very tip of it harassing me over ten feet- I think it's petty. They write these freakin' annoying lawyer letters that i reply to in crazy emails. This is a battle between a guy who signs his name with a PHD.. I'm just saying... and me. You know they said something about moving a statue I can't find it-- there is this little under a foot high angle the last owner left in the garden that she assumed was hers... ahem.. and if that's not petty and when they do explain that's the statue they are talking about I'm going to unload on them again. I did kind of what you said in a last email I reiterated that I would buy 1/8 of an acre or whatever pittance of land it is... they stretched this tape over my property and it separates away to them two dogwoods I planted over ten years ago! How stupid. You own my tees now. They want me to move the giant urn, the urn sits withing a line of site that I see when I'm on the can. Every morning for the thirteen years that I have been up here I have stared at that spot. Your telling me you own that spot? I don't think so. My trees; my spot I stare at when I poop; my land. That's how I see it Van. OK I THINK A FEW THINGS) 1- It's time to buy BERY... we have waited long enough. The reasons are long. I will go through them later remember this is the packaging stock that has a heath side that makes masks and gowns. 2- Title insurance is probably hopping. I have two names Stewart & FNF... Stewart is the more powerful, has the better chart and the stronger earnings. STC has a div of 2.7%. FNF has slower groth much larger dividend that is easily covered by earnings. 4.2%-! So two good choices here for Elite Traders depending on the type of account. STC Earnings are growing between 48% & 50% That's darn high. FNF by 15%.... If you have not bought EBAY yet I would. BEST IDEAS) EBAY // GO DADDY // GAN // DOMO NEW IDEAS) BERY // STC // FNF Two last things.. Will someone tell me about Palantir? IPO at $10? That sounds low. I continue to see a subtle shift in analysts towards the Pot sector. It is subtle... but lots of taking up to neutrals from sells on 50 cents stocks etc... There appears to be a positioning here by analysts for a sector rise or at least they are protecting themselves so they do not look stupid if there is one. I have not started researching any and I don't want to I did poorly the first time around but i will note TCNNF Trulive.. they have quite a high stock price of $17 compared to many of their peers... I have a hunch when it does come this is first out of the gate... ~si
