  4. So, Ronald McDonald and McDonalds have a big falling out. An extremely bitter parting of the ways with threats, lawsuits, public scenes, the whole bit. But Ronald still needs to make a living so he ends up taking one of the few jobs available to him, driving the school bus on Sesame Street. Supervisor shows him his route and next day he is on his own.

First stop he picks up a sketchy looking kid in shades and a sideways ballcap, with a big boom box on his shoulder who tries to fist bump and elbow bump Ronald and says, "Yo, cuz, Lester G's da name and riding the bus to school'z my game! Dig it!" and he proceeds to pop and lock his way back to a seat.

Ronald shakes his head and goes to his next stop, where a very large girl boards the bus and introduces herself as Patty. Ronald jerks his thumb toward the back and growls, "Take a seat then, Patty. I ain't got all day."

Next stop, a geeky looking kid in coke bottle glasses carefully gets up on the bus and tells Ronald, "Hi, my name is Ross, and my mom says to tell you I am special." Ronald glares, Ross looks hurt for a second and then scoots back to take a seat with the others.

At the next stop he picks up another very large girl, who introduces herself as Patricia. "But you can just call me Patty. Big Patty." Ronald stares at the road ahead, gritting his teeth. He is not liking this so far.

So, onward he drives, and he happens to look up at his rear view mirror and sees Lester picking at his feet with a switchblade, Ross just sitting there drooling mindlessly, the two fat girls bopping to Lester's boombox, and he just LOSES it. He pulls over, slams the brakes, and yells for the kids to get the hell off his bus. The puzzled kids comply, and Ronald takes the bus back to the barn and hands the keys to the supervisor and yells, "I QUIT! You can take your stinking bus and SHOVE it, lady!"

What's wrong? We did so hope you would fit in marvelously with the kids and make a wonderful schoolbus driver!"

So Ronald relates how he wanted to stay completely out of the fast food business, how he passionately hates all things fast food and is sickened by the marketing and the ingredient sourcing and the nutritional value and all, how he was exploited and became synonymous with junk food, and goes on, "So, how the hell do you think I felt when I looked back behind me in the mirror and seen Two Obese Pattys, Special Ross, Lester G's picking bunions on the Sesame Street Bus?"

  5. Not Bad Growley-! I am a bit of a joke constructor myself... I think each kid should be introduced by their mother to get the names straight! Good stuff.

Are those commercials real? That's the scariest Ronald McDonald's I've ever seen one of those guys looks like a molester.

Well we did it we ate out last night and it was only a little weird and then my dog gave me a big surprise. First the weird part. Once you sit down when do you take your mask off? I ripped mine right off my son and wife kept theirs on.

They said you are supposed to wait for food or drink. Then my wife took hers down but kept putting it back on when the waitress came by to say something or take the order-- Just keep it down! Every time my wife went for hers I felt obliged to do the same.

Ok two and half hours is along time for a spoiled Rhodesian Ridgeback. We are used to coming home and finding something destroyed. This time it was beyond the imagination my dog completely ate a six foot long leather leash. When I say completely ate I mean completely ate no trace. He threw up a bit this morning but there's a lot more leather in there.

Now he's a freakin' sad sack and I have to worry about his insides getting twisted up... Oh I hope and prey he chewed every last bit. God damn dogs. You have one fun night, you let your guard down for a moment and they make you pay. Same thing happened with my old dog also a Rhodesian, he ate a entire package of Spelt bread and tore up his insides. ~si

  8. Bounce Candidate)
K12 selloff on Miami-Dade contract loss overblown, says William Blair 07:20 LRN William Blair analyst Stephen Sheldon views the selloff in shares of K12 following the loss of the Miami-Dade institutional business contract as overblown. The announcement is a "small incremental negative to the story," but not one that justifies the degree of the pullback yesterday, Sheldon tells investors in a research note. While K12 has some fault in this situation, many of the complications were driven by the school district, says the analyst. Sheldon reiterates an Outperform rating on K12. The Miami-Dade contract has nothing to do with K12's core business, the $15M deal would only have represented about 1% of current forward revenue estimates, and there was also meaningful costs in the first year that can limit profitability, says the analyst.

  10. Yea everyone is using the Chewie. Up here I look into the back of the Fed Ex & UPS trucks for clues and Chewie has been in big demand by all the NYer's up here in Ct hiding. You wouldn't believe the conversations I heard last night Three different tables-- all three New Yorkers who had not been back to NYC since last March... Let that sink in. I'm just as bad but Ive been back three times to assess. And then run.

I've been seeing a good amount of Frontgate but I don't think they are public. And WalMart and their other delivery arm... the name is escaping me.

It's really startling you finding those old threads! I'm just figuring out that Search button... Man it's weird.
