I tend to agree, but what is their cash burn at the present? So many stocks to look at, there's only so much time in the day. I have not dug into this sector at all. If we don't get herd immunity via a vaccine here pretty quick, one has to wonder how long they can stay afloat. Inadvertent pun there. Are those ships even sailing? I mean the cost of keeping up that fleet has to be exorbitant. If they have to reorganize in BK court, shareholders of the common are the last in line, ie, they get f'd.
Nice work on P Fitness Van! But where am I going to work out in NYC!!!!-- and what's with the mask situation working out... Hey your SLACK just turned positive today.... Now that it's shook out a quick 25% from it's high... Look at Ebay today... stable. Yes today further selling but No rotation. Apple went to that $115 Van I am no longer short 14 shares. Growley I'm so glad you are OK. The last thing I remember you saying was you were going all in on TSLA... Cruise stocks... let me think about that. Normally I hate the industry, they ruin every Caribbean island when they pull in with their multitudes or take that dumb banana boat out.
Slack reports after the bell tonight. GummyBearAdvisors recommends shorting the 9/11 $30 straddle for $5. High risk trade however. They could blow away the estimates, I'm sure they will, but its what they say going forward that will matter.
You better believe they are hemmorhaging cash right now. Well, Carnival's Costa brand is sailing in the Med. We will definitely have a vaccine in production before the holidays. Probably by elections. It's the only way Trump can win and he will do what he has to do, to win, including printing another trillion or two for vaccine research and production, or pushing a good one to market with expedited testing, courtesy of Exec Order. His political survival hangs in the balance. The Russians might have something out pretty soon, too. I don't think these two cruise lines will be forced into bankruptcy before things pick up. Watch for some great marketing from the majors and some very good advance booking for "post covid" cruises. Bring your shot card.
You know what's interesting is a cruise is in itself a 14 day quarantine usually. These trips are pretty long... wonder if we enter a world where vacation and quarantine merge... you go somewhere and that idealic trip becomes something more. I jut can't figure it out because of the deaths and everything the bodies overboard. But there's that cool movie about the speeding train.. Korean movie Snowplow ? Snow something cruise ships in a disease ravaged world becoming the way out not the way in... Seaworld might be an easier way of doing this-! There's something clever here Growley... Yea "shot card" but what of the 60%-70% of the population that is saying No way! Here's the funniest thing about politics: Trump played the anti vax card yesterday those are a lot of Republicans! So he's given Biden that mantle he should run with it... Yes Anti Vax until studies are done like How do people with diabetes fare on it..? With chemo...etc.
Meh. Stopped out. I couldn't let it take me down. $152 profit. I will grab them both again, next good bottom reversal. I think the whole market pulled the cruise lines down, with it. I will be watching the inverse ETF's tomorrow, too.
That 9/3 was a typo, it should have been 9/8. That said, there's the flush. Its at 23.85 after hours. This thing will bounce. If it drops at the open, buy it. $19 will be a steal.
