    Stoney,
As always, allow me to draw upon my vast repository of usually worthless knowledge to help you out here.

As I was fortunate enough to come up dirt ass broke, I learned a thing or two about cars along the way. I had no choice if I wanted to roll. And I always wanted to roll.

Your problem is in the fuel system more than likely. The first thing I'd go after is the fuel filter. Its a $5 part and it should be right there under the hood. A cylindrical can. I'm sure a youtube search on your part will cover how to swap it out. It's probably less than $15 on Rock Auto.

Next, if that doesn't work, run some carb cleaner down the throat of the carb, and make sure that butterfly valve moves freely. I suspect it has an electric choke, easy to test, just throw 12V on the leads and it should flop that butterfly valve. Again, youtube will make this easy.

The next thing is a carb rebuild. But you don't have to do that. There'll be a little plate on top of the carb where the fuel line comes in and that plate is where your float is (underneath it, inside the carb). Sounds hard, but its not. A phillips screwdriver is all you need. The float has a needle valve attached to the hinge on it. That needle valve controls fuel flow into the float chamber and keeps it a predetermined level. Kinda like your toilet lol... in a way. That needle valve has to seat perfectly or you'll run rich af and you'll be blowing black smoke. Not blue, that's oil... but black. No need to remove the carb, just that plate, the float and needle valve, and then clean the little funnel shaped thing the point of the needle valve seats on. Use a little wire to poke down in there.

See here's the thing Stoney. Eythynol in gasoline eats rubber. You'll get all kinds of debris in your system over time as the rubber breaks down. Especially if the car sits up. So 109K miles on yours, yeah... that can be the problem. Its an easy fix though, it really is. I suspect its the filter though, start there for sure.

If that doesn't fix it, its a vacuum leak. Which is also a very real possibility. Those tubes get old and decompose too. Easy find. Buy a can of starter fluid, let the truck idle, and spray the starter fluid around the engine compartment while its running. Concentrate on all those black rubber hoses. The engine will rev up when you get near the leak as the vacuum will suck the aerosol starter fluid into the carb. You just zero in from there. I'm sure some old redneck has a youtube on this too.

For real that truck is a classic. And with 109K on it, if it doesn't have a lot of rust which most AMC/Chryslers did... its worth keeping up with.

New plug wires never hurt either.
Just like I told you with the AC at the house, and the circuit breaker panel, if you don't want to do this stuff, you need to find some old retired cat that works out of his garage to make spare $'s to keep away from his wife. Ask around. Go into a cheezy used car dealer and ask who they know. They'll know someone cheap.

    Ok, back to stocks.

  2. Fuel filter... jesus I'm not sure I've ever changed that all I do is unscrew that big round thing and blow on the filter thing and put that back... But that's a filter for I think the carb.... Have to dig around and find the fuel filter.. the oil thing is hard to find. It is a true classic though and feels very special to have because so few are still on the road. I live in a town that has a lot of rich folks with Sunday sportscars these things are fancy fancy. I could never keep up... but in my own way I have a classic and the rich wives seem either afraid or disgusted by it the eco warriors scorn me for gas use but in the rear view window I see a lot of men giving it the head knod. Now that's when US made cars....

  3. << Here are some stocks I am watching for this week >>

    1. APPS-- Well if you don't know this stock it's got something to do with digital advertising. It has been a real go go stock that I missed. I spent a lot of time charting this is the $10-$12 area only to miss it jump to $14 and then scoot to $25 +. There is general conference on the sector by one house and the low on Friday was $20.60 the close $23.50 would seem to indicate this stock is ready to go up.

2- GDDY-- Go Daddy! You now I bought that web site gummybearadvisors and I noticed my wife has recently purchased one for a store up here in CT she's involved with and I got to thinking how many other at home folks working are starting up side action on the web? I would bet GDDY earnings are going to be up. Fri $77.20 low $79.50 close 52 week high of $89.00 this is a good set up I think.

3-BERY-- Well we have been micro watching this one for a while.. Just to be steady in the face of huge downfalls tells us that not much rocks this stock. If you don't remember the story among other things they make masks and smocks for medical. $51.50 low Friday $53 close which is even more impressive when you note that we began tracking it at $52 through the horrendous week it actually finished up a buck! Not bad.

4- ALLY-- well it's everything i hate: car leasing and taking advantage of people... this is like buying a gun stock. But if financials are going to move and I'm guessing by that guy's two picks they are... I have to find something in the sector...

    & PENN & DOMO....

    That's the air cleaner lol.
Here. This cat ranks it "1/2 wrench". That means even you can do it Stoney!
Change it out and we'll go from there. $5

Replacing the fuel filter on a Grand Wagoneer

This is one of the most basic items to change. It is simple enough and requires only the contents of a household junk drawer to do. I give this repair 1/2 a wrench.

  7. Hello Overnight. Oil is down 2% is that distillate ?

Hello Van! I shall be embarking on a " Grand " fuel filter change this week. Maybe after this I won't have to leave the choke puled all the way out-- which is the way now.

Well here we go! It seemed like a pretty back N' forth overnight session with the Nasdog being up and flat then overwhelmed again.

We only have a few more days before the NFL... If all of this merges together BOTH Van and I will be right about the timing. But only Van will be making money.

Since I'm long only I will be looking for names I want to add in a pullback-- I think first on that list is probably Ebay... There is an odd thing with Ebay their sellers use the post office, the post office is in slow down mode until the election and Ebay buyers are complaining. Does this filter down to the operational level...? Maybe not. Ebay had an announcement about using UPS as an alternative... that's why they did that. Still I think if Etsy can be everyone's favorite so can Ebay. I think they are both probably buys.

  8. Van-- So this week is an important one-- the Land Trust is going to respond to my latest email. That one was about a path we have around the property that they rare trying to kick me off. I walk this every day.

    - So far I have to move my stone Grotto some amount of feet? I don't know how far.
-I have to move my pool fence inside their boundry marker and on a slightly different angle.
-I have to pick up all chairs & benches on their land.
    - They are going to come and take away a stone fire pit that That I screamed in a prior email YOU FREAKIN' take it. Now they are...

But this has me slightly worried about president No not that dick... precident... I can't spell it-- when you do something once and set a precident... Ayyyyye. You know what I mean that fire pit has been there 30 years +.

Anyway. So I responded that the path has to remain a path not so much for me but the animals that use it.. Deer... it's a health issue with the ticks I need them taking that path around and away from the house.. and also the road where they get hit. So if they agree on that-- I might just say ok....

But if they play any kind of hardball then... I do know that the former owner of my house & the one who did these agreements with the trust-- He'd have the paperwork- the fine print-- he is coming back from vacation this Friday and I might be served well to stall till then and talk to him- being that he is a well renowned lawyer as well...

Hummmmm. Never quiet in the world of gummybearadvisors.

  9. Ebay is $52. In my notebook $48-$49 was where I wanted it I was looking at it 100 pages ago; it went further up and now is back close....

    Idea #1- EBAY

Idea #2 I'm struggling... A) BNTX- it's a vaccine play they are in partnership with Pfizer. Stand to benefit from early roll out whether that's good for us all or not.
    B) DAL... Glutton for punishment I guess I have a slog of this at much higher prices. At some point you do try and time these airlines.

    #3... ODFL // BLDP // ALLY // BERY // GDDY // APPS

  10. VAN LAST QUESTION-- I REALLY DO USE YOU LIKE ASK JEEVES...
I wonder if we could turn your answers into a search machine.. ASK VAN?
ASKVAN.COM// AskVan.com.... That looks better- I bet it's available!!! Maybe we should set up a shell company that buys web sites!

Anyway.. I had a fantasy dream in which these guys came to take away the fire pit and I summoned the animals against them. This hive of yellow jackets that i stepped in and got stung twenty times it's nearby and somehow I summoned them to swarm against these foes.. and then I made a Tarzan call but it was more of a dog bark/ howl and summoned the Bear who walked up stream and made them crap their pants and run.

I already plan to set up my archery set on my property but facing the pit where arrows could certainly over shoot -so they will see this crazy guy with a mask shooting arrows and howling for a bear.

Now here's the question if I discard a whole lot of stinky fish guts, Salmon pieces, into that fire pit will the bear come? Or just the Raccoons? And if the bear comes -Will that in any way make be culpable for what happens to the men taking away the stones?
