I have a trading system I want to automate.

I have the code written in eSignal and would like to autotrade it.

Is there software that could simulate the code in forward testing before I go live?

    Thanks.

Open an account with Interactive Brokers.

They have a paper trading facility that mirrors the real thing. Your system can send the orders to your paper trading account and get (almost) realistic fills.

if you have your account with interactivebrokers you can get a simulated account that acts pretty much like your real one...

so does the IB simulated trading platform have an automated trader function or do i have to get E SIGNAL and program my system from there?

  5. Why don't you just test it using esignal? You can call esignals built in functions to buy market, buy limit, etc and let it run during market hours for a while. If you think you are getting better fills than you would actually trading live then subtract some for slippage and you should have a good idea of whether your system has a future.

    Try http://www.cool-trade.com

Their robotic trading system does not require any programming.
Also, to forward test your system before going live, you don't even have to have a broker account.

When you are ready to go live, it trades throught these 3 brokers:

    TD AMERITRADE
    MB TRADING
    INTERACTIVE BROKERS

Also, the CoolTrade system is free if you have a TD AMERITRADE account.
