SSD is a must, no reason to have a hard disk drive as your primary drive.

  2. I checked my SSD i got this year, M.2 type. There are comparisons on youtube vs that and standard ssd's. ram is really important, i had my 16gb keep capping out on a 4x multi monitor. i have 7 monitors now, 3x ultrawide screens, with 32 gb and ram goes slightly over 16gb cap sometimes but if i only had 16gb i would be totally screwed. i7 was made for using multiple programs at once. I use news, sterling trader pro (demanding program), charting (on chrome). my trading system is also my gaming system, i spent 1.7K USD on the computer but it'll last 7 years at least.

I am using browser based charting myself (Tradingview).

Chrome isn't the best browser to do so, it requires much more from your hardware in comparison to for example Firefox or Opera.

I do like Chrome as a browser, i use it myself for everything else, everything but charting. Once i started using another browser for Tradingview i notice CPU and RAM usage where lower as with Chrome so i sticked with it.

  4. I use tradingview too, and i use chrome because each tab is receiving info individually not as a collective level vs other browsers which could cause lag/hangs/crashing.

I divided my monitor into multiple virtual monitors with virtual display manager so i am not using multiple tabs but i just have multiple windows of the browser open and at full screen at the same time.

I have got dropped back to 3 Mbps since i have used so many data this month :banghead::D.
Tomorrow my data plan gets a reset and i go back to full speed.

For those worried about needing high speed connections, my trading platforms are running perfectly fine ...
