I'd rather be a socialist than a fascist anyday.

  1. Hitler was personally opposed to the idea of social welfare because, in his view, it encouraged the preservation of the degenerate and feeble. However, once in power the Nazis created welfare programs to deal with the large numbers of unemployment. Nevertheless, unlike social welfare programs in other countries, Nazi social welfare programs were residual, as they excluded certain people from the system whom they felt were incapable of helping themselves and would only pose a threat to the future health of the German people. Sound like any party we know of???
The Fascist government in Italy banned abortion and literature on birth control in 1926 and declared abortion and distribution of birth control literature as crimes against the state. Roe v. Wade b gone. Fascism also tends to promote principles of masculine heroism, militarism, and discipline; and rejects cultural pluralism and multiculturalism. The Italian Fascist government during the "Battle for Births" gave financial incentives to women who raised large families as well as policies designed to reduce the number of women employed to allow women to give birth to larger numbers of children. Sounds like a political ploy to play on Evangelical beliefs.

A form of political behavior marked by obsessive preoccupation with community decline, humiliation or victimhood and by compensatory cults of unity, energy and purity, in which a mass-based party of committed nationalist militants, working in uneasy but effective collaboration with traditional elites, abandons democratic liberties and pursues with redemptive violence and without ethical or legal restraints goals of internal cleansing and external expansion. This is getting creepy.

Fascism is typified by totalitarian attempts to impose state control over all aspects of life: political, social, cultural, and economic, by way of a strong, single-party government for enacting laws and a strong militia or police force for enforcing them through threat of reprisal against dissidents or through political violence directed at opponents. Fascism exalts the nation, state, or group of people as superior to the individuals composing it, and uses explicit populist rhetoric. It calls for a heroic mass effort to restore past greatness, and demands loyalty to a single leader, leading to a cult of personality and unquestioned obedience to orders. HHHMMMMMMMMM !!

  3. In the US - swear words are banned from the media between 06:00 to 22:00 by federal regulation (law?)... and now Microsoft takes it further with censorship within online gaming and player voice communication. Take a look at neo-conservatives and censorship... or Cheney and secrecy. It's all very "comforting."

Then look at what defines a police state and authoritarian ruling.

    GWB is a "fuck it!"-person ... he doesn't give a shit.

Totalitarianism is usually associated with socialism and communism - because "social justice" is supposed to be present everywhere. But when you start legislating and regulating everything - you have essentially the same - that is how the corruption and encouraging of parasitic behaviour has led to much of the litigious society in the US - while "free European mindsets" are scoffed by religious bigots and cultural warfare influencers in the US "media industry."

...and the 3 part documentary "The Power of Nightmares" - about the neo-conservatives...

However - to understand how neo-conservatism came to be - and the influencers roles (especially since the Reagan presidency) - you need to look into the histories and of Irving Kristol, Albert Wohlstetter and James Burnham - the infatuation with political radicalism and the transformation from Trotskyism. Finally Kristol's wife and her commentary on social Darwinism and social conservative ideology as well...

But in the end - it's a history of people who put in pieces and effort - making what is the structure of neo-conservatism - and influencing others. To say that these people should be kept far away from direct power over society is a very weak understatement, but what works best is openness and no secrecy, redaction or negationism about who these people are and how they have influenced others - especially the resulting US policies, not dictated by these of course - but ideas which were bolstered and formed into "useful vehicles" for various subjective goals... personal greed and corruption.

  5. A note to emphasize: the US of A has not had true capitalism from probably the time Kennedy was shot.....what we have is an ugly thing called "fuckism"....where "business opportunity" is day trading (sorry , Multi Level Marketing and obnoxious sales type stuff that normal people cannot do.....if you get into a real business it is very very large overhead, no health care and the "big ones" will put you out of business as soon as you show any promise. I worked for some startups in software.....
Also, this predatory lending is nothing new, the banks, loan co's do it on purpose, in a rising market, they take your fees, closing costs etc and after a while when you cannot pay your dues they throw you out, in the meanwhile the house is appreciating and they just recycle it. Do not buy for a moment that banks want you to keep your house, they don't give a fuck about people, only profits, the problem this time around is that the RE market crashed like Japan's.
