icemans' IRA trading Journal

  1. The only "nutcake" I see here is the guy cherry picking trades and fighting fictitious battles with the SEC. If you are such a "hot dog" why does the Pattern Daytrading Rule affect you so adversely?

I dare say you have insulted the few successful traders on here by so emphatically implying that you are of their caliber. This is quite the delirious assertion.

Please do not insult the intelligence of this community by implying that you actually are "assisting" others, while in reality, this is all a pathetically misguided attempt at your own self aggrandizement.

You aren't that special dear sir.

  2. Baron/Moderators

I just did a quick search of this guy "jackbyrds" posting on ET. I suggest you do the same. I don't want to crowd my Journal with replying to this nutcake but if you read his posts he has managed to insult just about everyone on ET and/or interfered with threads constantly. Please either 1. warn this guy or 2. better yet ban him outright from ET.

I certainly did not come on ET back in 2002 to have these kinds of disruptive and ignorant anonymous posters interfere with every post and thread and forum on which there is contained valuable input. I'm sure others feel the same. I am tired of having to wade through threads to find the value due to clowns like this "jackbyrd" character and have to scroll past his countless worthless comments, sarcasm and criticism of other posters. Like I said guys like him can get away with criticizing other men they do not know since they have no fear of having a fist come through the computer monitor to knock some sense into their sorry little brains! Duh! :D

Since I don't want to any longer come down to his level I ask he be banned. I believe it is the correct decision with this type of poster. Remember - - - this man/woman's comments to me all emanated from ONE post I made (my FIRST post since March 28th) regarding trades on OIH. I would now post my gain/loss report showing these OIH trades but that would be catering to a psycho like "jackbyrd" who has no right to know my personal affairs or comment on any statements I make on an ET Journal. I never one time ever talked with this guy or ever had any contact with this guy that I recall. Yet he feels it is his "right" to disrupt every thread on ET with b.s.

Don't believe me, read his worthless posts.

Please do us all a favor and get rid of him!

p.s. this is my last comment on this nonsense; but will also send these comments to Baron in an email for his perusal, accompanied with the many rude and disruptive jackbyrd posts I have researched.

  8. BTK (biotech)

missed my entry last week at BTK 667 - forgot to re-set my price alert which had originally been set near 200 day ema; somehow it got cancelled  so missed some of the 22 points on BTK last week. However hope springs eternal. So now looking again to enter deep ITM calls on this index if it re-tests.

  10. well all things come to those who wait! My analysis was correct. Of course I only missed about 150 points by not going long in the mid-300s! Bet I have company. At least I caught 40 points and I did sell all my long ITM calls (420-460s) over the last week or so for about 10-14 each. It's amazing how often we try to go against a trend when we think it is overextended. Who said the market can be irrational longer than you can remain solvent? (Keynes?)

Sill doing a lot of QM and OIH. Actually got lucky and caught the overnight QM drop yesterday (on the OPEC comments) from 7520. Funny thing - I was busy and forgot to check QM until later in the day to find I was up almost 2400. I guess the watched pot never boils. I have a quote on my desk attributed to Bill Lipschultz which reads "if most traders would learn to sit on their hands 50% of the time they'd make a lot more money"! I have lost count of how many times that statement has proven 100% accurate!

Crude inventories tomorrow so expect to be active in QM and OIH again!

Are biotechs out of favor - duh? Because I can't make squat on DNA. I can only sell so many calls on the POS, and then my (put) bull spreads keep sucking out much of that gain! DNA looks to be forming a bullish (falling) wedge. Does that pattern still work in the hedge fund era?

It did for AAPL recently !
