if the government cracks down on index funds US exchanges will be at a huge disvantage to international ones. cme also dropping like a stone

 

do you think this is an overreaction to the downside for CME?

I'm talking about ICE, not CME.

 

The gov. is all talk and no action. Nothing serious will happen.

 

the bad news for ice is all but priced in imo. CME, being the big dog was pulling the sector down today. news that NMX deal in doubt. FWIW on ICE, I think that their voluntary measures will have averted regulation provided we see a short dip in crude. Also the CBOE news is bullish.

 

It was down a lot yesterday. A buy?

 

As long as crude recedes and people begin to forget about it the government will back off.
