ICE bidding for CBOT

This is old, still big news right now, but I could not find a thread around here.

Anyone thinks ICE can be successful here ? Not me, although a ICE-BOT merger would be much better for us (compared to a CME-BOT merger)

The idea behind this is, the ICE management wants to make use of the current high (and IMO unsustainable) valuation in ICE stock and buy something fundamentally reasonable.

Had to be a tough day for any arb positioned short BOT vs. long CME.

 

Whoever takes it over, invest some additional freakin money in redundancy. I quit trading CBOT because of the outages.
