    Hi Def,

It sure would be nice if it was possible to change the execution method on an existing order line. That would make us traders lots of money.

A couple hotkeys would go with that nicely too.

    Thanks

Awesome! Been waiting a year and a half for this!

Any idea when they're going to have this feature on the installed version?

It's available in the installed version. Just run the update check utility that comes with the installed version and it will download and install the updates for you.

Nice to have the exchange feature but the hot keys
    are missing.

One feature i REALLY REALLY would like to see
is always on top. If you use IB with Qcharts, Ravenquote
or Esignal etc the moment you click on a chart or something else the TWS moves to the taskbar.
So Def please pass this on to the developers.

    Hi Folks:

Pardon a Newbie question. I just moved my account over to IB (for the commissionss mainly) and I have been monitoring the TWS trading platform. I have a couple of "stupid" questions.

    1) If I do not have Level II access – which routing should I be using. Is BEST really as “bad” as some posts in this thread suggest?

2)Regarding round lots on listed stocks; can I put in an order for odd lots if I use a Market order? Isn’t the round lots rule only pertain to Limit orders?

    Thanks in advance
    Regards/greg

  10. I'm not sure regarding the listed stock question, but with respect to the question about entering an order on the NASDAQ, if you don't have a Level II feed, your best bet would be to have TWS display the Best Execution quote (which shows the inside quotes regardless of who is quoting it), as well as ISLD and maybe REDI. If you see that the inside ISLD or REDI quote is the same or near the inside of Best Execution, just fire in your order on the ISLD or REDI routing. If ISLD or REDI quotes are a little further away than the best inside quotes on BEST, then you have to decide whether to give up the spread and get filled right away using ISLD or REDI, or take your chances with Best Execution, which may be routing to a market maker.

Ideally, if you get a Level II feed, you wouldn't need to worry as much, since you'd be able to see whether or not it was a market maker or ECN at the inside, and therefore could easily determine whether Best Execution will work well. If it's an ECN at the inside, go ahead and use Best Execution. If not, I'd stay away.
