I agree ... one week post IPO there are options on IBKR ? how is that possible ? next thing you know there will be SSF's on IBKR
Interactive Brokers has its roots in the Options market making business and it is a pretty big part of their business. No one can price IBKR options better than the folks at Interactive Broker.
I'm in @ $ 26.70. This has catch the falling knife metaphor all over it - but I wanted to enter a position right here, right now. No stops. If she tanks to $ 26. then I'll be heading for the exits. I actually like the valuation of the stock and the going forward potential, we'll see how this plays out. Cheers! MS
Congrats. I established the beginning of my position on Friday as well. I'm looking to build up this position over the next week. This is a long term hold for me and not a quick flip.
Yeah but I was under the impression that an IPO has to be around awhile for options to become available.
This is not new. With such a large float, not even unusual. There is no rule preventing it. As for IB making a market in its own options...... I suspect they might be forbidden from doing that. Anyone know for sure?
According to my last week call to IB's IR they had earnings announcement scheduled for 6/17. For some reason they decided to make it earlier: http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/070521/aqm152.html?.v=2 I wonder why?
