I guess you are right, old trader just saw this on dow jones Most of the shares will be sold by Chief Executive and Chairman Thomas Peterffy, who only sold a portion of the company to the public in the initial public offering last May.
"[He] believes the firm is worth at least $33.50 ... that's the whole idea. If we don't get enough bids at $33.50 or above, we won't do it," said Steve Sanders, senior vice president of marketing and product development. "We feel these earnings are proof that we shouldn't be lumped in with these other financials."

  2. I told you exactly what that was before TP confirmed it.

  3. on the CC, confirmation that some lowlifes stiffed IB on bad BSC trades. We could have told you that. A lesson for the idiots that object to margin increases.

Also, they lost some good $ on the BSC debacle, also an almost inevitable outcome. There is NO WAY to hedge something like that as a market maker, unless you offload all the puts you sell.

  4. Also said that institutions wanted in but float was too small, which is another reason to float 50 m shares via auction. Big boys will pay up a buck or two for size on the auction.

Brokerage/Market Maker space seems to be enjoying alot of action of late with IBKR NITE FCSX LAB SCHW AMTD the favorites. ETFC MF TRAD OXPS the dogs of the group.

IBKR's chart looks alot like FCSX's chart. Could be nice multi day runner here.

18% short going into earnings. Have to wonder if shorts figured on some sub 30 priced auction. Sorry boyz.
