I think Hillary came to her senses realizing that if McCain won and died in office, it would be President Palin the first woman president and not Hillary. All the life out of Hillary's candidacy would be taken out. So Hillary needed to stop McCain at all costs and negotiate something with Obama.
Personally, ideal president is president Pelosi for the simple reason that all the republicans and conservatives would be jumping out of windows if such a thing happened.
Hillary is a true patriot, she did what was best for America. I've never understood the hatred people have for her. She is one bright, and classy lady, who made a bad choice of husbands.

Family values is just a buzz word that is meaningless. Define it for me. Everybody wants tax cuts; but in giving them other things change like being handmaidens to Asian countries that hold our debt. Hillary voted for the war in Iraq and never apologized for it. She did both things for political reasons. Now voting for the war in 2002 I can understand because the country was insane, if she voted against it she would be perceived as too weak. But playing around with it during the primaries and preceding every statement with "when I am president" that put a lot of people off. Iraq war is a core issue to many democrats.
