I am concerned about what I read on the margin algo issues of IB. Because of that I never push it and I try to use no leverage, unless it's an options where I might have some naked exposition but only on debit spreads or longs. I have to admit that in 5 years, the few times that I have contacted them in Europe, they replied to both the phone and the chat and were quite helpful. Maybe US customer should try to call the uk-eu number for better assistance?
IB has been great for my trading needs. I can't think where else I'd go. Their basket trader is perfect for my system trading.
I’ve never once had an issue getting help from the many ways they offer support. Live Chat/phone/email.
I trade Japanese stocks heavily, and IB is the only broker that offer this capability within the US, please correct me if I am wrong. Thank you.
IB cad charge $150 in commissions for an order of 15000 shares. How you like them beavers? On what planet can they justify that. In pussy canada. "Unlike most Canadians brokers who charge a flat fee, our commissions for US stocks are 0.005 USD/share and 0.01 CAD/share for CAD stocks. Minimum commission is 1$." shorturl.at/oxyWY
It seems my american depositary receipt fees are going up. Am I correct in this?? It use to be a small amount when dividends were paid. Just wondering if the banks (and brokers) are raising fees...Especially for Japanese stocks.
One last thing that always works is sending them a Ticker, that private messaging system, hopefully it's not a matter of urgency
