correct if you take liquidity all day long is a hell of a deal. to get .002 requires aloyt of vol and ib's giving this deal to anyone. they're counting on people traidng nyse and adding liquidity were they get the rebate
To deff and IB, Ive been at IB trading for a number of years, have used other brokers in the past, but none are as good as IB. Keep up the good work!
Are they dropping the rates for IdealPro? if so what are they? For anyone trading Forex or thining about it ---Ideal Pro's liquidity and depth is just sick.
There you go. There's the catch. You 1000 share market or limit order will get filled: 123 157 186 91 45 22 343 123 49 57 exaggeration but you get the idea
Chewbacca: Are you an IB customer now? IB commission for the above, if entered as a single order, is (will be on 1 Nov) 1000 x .005 = $5.00. That's the way I've been debited on the existing .01 + .005 commission schedule. I often get partial fills from different exchanges/ICNs using SMART. IB is making themselves more competitive with this move so I really doubt that your assumption is correct. Jack
NO CHEWBECCA THATS JNOT WHAT I WAS SAYING. LETS SAY YOU DID 300 SHARES LIMIT GOT FILLED ON 100 AND CANCELLED THE REST. SINCE MIN IS $1 YOU GET CHARGED $1 FOR 100. MANY PROFESSIONAL FIRMS HAVE NO MIN'S
anyone that is worried about the $1 on a partial is not a professional. move on to more important matters. hey, has anyone seen my caps key?
Chewbacca, If your 1000 share gets filled with multiple partial shares on the same day, I think IB charges you $7.5 ($5 from November, 2005) even if you change the limit price of your order in the middle of the serial partial fills!
