You can do that easier by going to the start menu->all programs, mouse over to startup, right click on the unwanted program and select delete.
How do you know if you router is getting old and tired? I have a 4 year old Lynksys, which seems to work well, but sometimes it shows I don't have full connection lit on LED light?
There was some visual indicator that something was not right - one of the LED lights was red when it should have been green. My router died a complete death - i.e., it was non-functional when I put it to sleep.
Speak of the devil.. I have a 1999 Linksys that is regular use in my network... No hassles, save that the Wireless died... Ethernet is fine.
Thanks for the quick replies. I am actually going to upgrade some time soon to Xincom Dual Wan Router so that I can get DSL as a back up to cable, but I will keep my old Lynksys BEFSR41 in the closet just in case. Spring thunderstorms seem to knockout cable a bit too much in Denver.
