Glad I am not the only one has problem. I'm connected to the US server, and it went pink on me around 12:27AM EST. I was short, and by the time it reconnect, my front lost connection, and wouldn't close the order. I have had it closed manually. Went from a profit to a loss. By the way, this is the 2nd time this week.
There's nothing fabricated about that explanation. I personally reviewed the info. I've never been called a crook before and it is pathetic of you to question the firms and by default my integrity.Please come to Hong Kong visit the office spend some time with me and then re-evaluate if you'd say that to my face. What are you 10 years old? Please take your agenda elsewhere.
There is a daily reset om the US server after midnight. If you're trading Asia actively you should consider moving to the HK server.
David, don't let him get to you. As Kiwi said, he's a TWAT. Not sure what that means but it sounds fitting!! I don't know it this is also a U.S connection problem, but could you please help me here. I am on the HK server and have no problems other than my USD,JPY chart stops printing every day at 12:57 pm Tokyo time. At the top of the chart is 'The application was unable to connect to the HMDS server. Reconnection will be attempted'. But it never reconnects. However the quotes continue uninterrupted. I'm using 882, but the same thing happened when I tried Beta 883(Like 883!!) Here is my log at that time. Can you please tell me if you can see the reason for this. The charting is based on the US side. We're in the process of installing a bunch of hosts on the HK side to run it from here. We're also upgrading a bunch of other items on the HK side which will move the risk navigator, acct mgmt and other tools to this side.
Def, Those serious IB customers who frequent this website know you are an honest man working for an honest company. I'm very sorry to see you subjected to this kind of abuse, while you are trying to be helpful to us customers. I hope you won't let this sort of abuse discourage you from continuing your very helpful dialogue with serious customers.
Hey def, what is the scheduled timeline for this improvements ? The server reset for FX connections are especially irritating as it happens everyday at 1200 HKT. All clients, even those like me who are designated on the Hong kong server are affected. And during the reset, all stops don't work ( according to your customer support rep ) and after the reset, all charts don't work and we need to restart TWS. This really makes it hard for those of us trading asian futures and currencies like JPY and AUD. Please reflect this to your mgmt. thanks
