IB TWS login error

    Hi, I got the following error message with IB TWS:

    "There was a permanent error while downloading necessaruy files. Please try and launch the application again."

    I have tried different machines, updated Java and installed the stand alone version, but the problem simply stays.

    Any suggestion?

    check if you have more java versions installed. you need to have only one version.
    uninstall TWS and install it again, that helped me in similar problem.
    (you can save the settings on the IB-server)

    save TWS settings in separate directory,uninstall both java and TWS,install java first, restart PC,install TWS,put back settings folder and try again. you can also try to delete all temporary files from both java and windows. make sure you set up restore point before all above
