Ib Tws Down

Discussion in 'Interactive Brokers' started by laocoon, Aug 3, 2005.

  1. IB has assured me that in the event something like this happens during market hours, during a big move, they have a contigency plan in place.

    It's called a insurance policy.

    Get the yellow market data:

    usfuture connected
    eurofarm connected
    usfarm disconnected
    hkfarm disconnected

eurofarm is connected but no quotes for GBL.

  4. Nah,

They already have their trader giving you the finger in their logo.

Well looks like I better take the day (ehhh evening / night, am in New Zealand) off again.

Better have and enjoy an evening out, have dinner and go to the cinema.

    Until next trading session guys.

Shame about the moves in the Euro-USD, am missing a large part of that.

Long live the unstable internet infrastructure! (and thanks to the forsight to plan for these inevitable outages, will only get worse as time progresses) Just as well that I enjoy position trading and not scalping....

If you have the option to use an IB Hongkong account, switch to it. IB US is still down this morning 2.15am EST, but IB HK is running fine including market data for all exchanges
Just transferred my trading capital to the HK account which can be done in 2minutes and finally am able to start trading again

  7. Is that what that is?

I thought it was IB's, uh, rhymes with sock and walls ... getting ready to be jammed into the arse of their clients.

But you'll be missing part of the US afternoon trading session where some predictable moves are.... :-(

I am on HK server but can't log in. Perhaps I am one of those "some" clients who get stuffed while others don't

How about an explanation of why some users are the "some" who get affected and other's don't.

Come on IB let's hear it (hint: avoid all references to ISP's as logging in to Refco no problem)

  10. Regrettably, not an option for FA (Financial Advisor) clients. Must be on the US server.
