Today was my first day trading with TWS. I must say that I'm impressed with the speed of the executions and the hot keys. It seems faster than my old broker who charged a premium for their executions and platform for 1/2 the functionality and speed. I've asked these question to 2 IB reps and am not satisfied with the responses. On the main TWS page I think you should be able to view the price you paid for the contract(s). I would assume that's what the Avg Cost column is for but it stays blank. The IB reps essentially said that you don't get Avg Cost for futures. I don't see why not. (I can understand it being incorrect due to M to M if I carried the contract overnight.) Does anyone know if IB is planning on adding the executed contract price to the main TWS screen or do I always have to have the Trades/Executions window open? TIA
