IB Totally dead?

Ok Mr. 3 Post....you probably ARE IB...

 

Everybody should have a back up account in case of these kind of problems! Make life alot less stressful not depending on one broker

 

there must have been an accident at the intersection where the little red man directs orders...:>)

 

all data feed came back up correctly (as in Booktrader) at 11:09 EST...but P/L is crewed up...

Anyone having similar issues with their PnL?

 

am I the only one who still cant get on?

 

I saw "Login in progress...." and can NOT login IB for some time this morning.. and still can NOT login in now......

 

How does another account with another broker help you to sell shares at IB right now and close positions?

 

IB somehow 'lost' my sell order that would have hit around 11:05

Think about it a bit more and the answer might come to you!

 

You could hedge your positions at another broker...ie. if you were long 1000 shares of XYZ at IB you could short 1000 XYZ at your backup broker. Better than the alternative.
