IB tech question

  1. I was having trouble with IB getting it to lock up when it especially shouldn't.

    They just told me to increase the buffer size
    What exactly is this doing?

    navigate to this folder and look for a file called TWS.xml. Open this file in a text editor and search for the following lines
  2. The only time I had problems with tWS (besides system failures) was freezes. I was able to eliminate the problem by deleting my Temporary Internet Files on a regular basis. Try it and see if it makes a difference.

    I suggest giving TWS 512M of RAM, not 256.
