on the monitor page i would like to click on the bid size or ask size and the order with the size as quanity should appear. this seems obvious and should be implemented. any thoughts?
u mean on the scanner? that could be a good idea...no need to populate the grids and therefore losin' valuable time, especially on AH, when an obscure company has just reported and pops up under a certain parameter in the screener.
IB must spend a lot of money mailing and processing quarterly reports, proxy statements, etc. Is it possible to opt out from receiving them? I hold short term positions, so they go straight into the garbage can, wasting the material they are printed on, the postage, and the labor involved in handling them. In their infinite wisdom, the SEC probably requires them to be sent, but maybe they could be delivered in electronic format?
Just wanted to follow up on this 5pm EST disconnect problem. For me, it has gone away for at least the past couple of weeks. I just wanted to see if the problem was fixed for everyone. If so, thanks IB!

I am referring to the monitor pages where on each page you can have up to 40 stock quotes.
i love IB idea with paper trading and i was really exited, when on Friday i receive this IB Communiqué email - In order, to trade European markets I guess I need to know at least stock ticker, but when I tried to collect such basic info from IB website during this weekend, I got this every 15 requests (screenshot attached) All Iâm trying to do is collect and store info about products, offered by IB and store it in my database. Whatâs up with those restrictions? How I suppose to do that? You want me to click on every stock and write down type, name, ticker, exchange,ISIN and so on? This is justâ¦inconvenient and my suggestion is to remove those restrictions as soon as possible. Thank you.
Though I am mostly a futures trader who trades stocks now and then, occasionally I like to trade forex. For efficient forex trading at IB, we really need the following to show on TWS on the market data line just like they show in futures and stocks: 1) Profit/Loss 2) Change 3) Volume Additionally... 4) Charts- the forex charts on IDEALPRO do not appear to show as much, or be as accurate as other trading instruments at IB 5) more and clearer documentation about forex trading at IB since trading forex is quite different than stocks and other futures - and in my opinion, harder to trade 6) Pip calculator When I buy a forex pair and sell it at a different price, sometimes the amount of units needed to close the trade is different than the amount of units we bought in with. When I asked IB how to calculate this, they told me how, but there really should be an automatic calculation available on the platform. Along those lines, a real-time pip converter, similar to Oanda's would be nice, to let us know what a pip is worth in different currencies. I.E., 24,588 yen = ??? USD.
Accurate Data - Include all prices in the real time data stream or include high/low of the period in the sample. This is the real thing ... most of the rest of it is fluff.
Something strange going on here. My email alerted me to a follow-up post in this thread from Steve at IB, yet the only follow-up post I see here is from kiwi_trader. No email alert from a reply by kiwi_trader, either. Makes me think kiwi and Steve are the same person.
