I don't want to see other stuff there, just my running balance or Net Liquidation Value. I don't run Trader Dashboard because I'm trying to minimize what's shown in TWS, and that just makes the TWS screen more crowded than it already is. Yet, having your NLV show at all times ought to be a given and shown on the main TWS page, not requiring an extra window to be pinned, IMHO.
You should have looked at this before making comments. It is NOT another window. Rather, it is added to the main TWS window ("page") just as Alan described (and as you say you wanted). This way, it gives everyone the option of having this information (or more, or less) or not.
Don't know if I mentioned this before... Since the Reg. SHO pilot is going to be with us for at least another year, add the A/B/C category to the "contract details" page (at www.interactivebrokers.co.uk/contract_info/... ), preferably right below the "Shortable" item.
Did you click apply at the bottom of the window after you made the change? I made the change to GTC after the market closed today. Closed TWS and then reopened. The GTC was still there. I also setup an order and it showed GTC. I left the GTC setup and shutdown TWS for the night. I'll open TWS again tomorrow and verify that the GTC is still there. I'll reset to DAY before I start moving the market. I'll post again if something seems odd. Jack
That's not exactly what I was talking about, but thanks for pointing that out. The Trader Dashboard features are even better than what I was asking for. I'd looked at TraderDashboard in the past, but missed these features.
And for hsi's datastream it would be helpful for the datapackets to include the interval extreme. The red bars are fridays 3m real time datafeed. The green shows the backfill and the missing data. http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&goto=lastpost&threadid=73376 <img src="http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/attachment.php?s=&postid=1156687">
