Since this is for suggestions, why not get rid of the java charts? They peg out the cpu resources if you have more than a few 1 minute charts open. I know this has been discussed before and the obvious solution is to use QT or some other charting package. But it is a dilema to me why IB refuses to get rid of the java charts.
yes, but da prob is that some mac owners will be in trouble if they don't run virtualpc, since qt is not compatible with os x...ib needs to push qt to make their software available for macs as well, then ib have no need nor excuses to keep tws charts anymore.
you can do it even in excel. no need to add more whistles. better to work on customer support and execution. today around 11 AM i did not receive a single share, after stock traded as much as 4.5% below my limit buy and it was not a single trade. i immediately submit request via IB ticket system, but by EOD ticket not even assigned to anyone.
I don't think a trouble ticket is appropriate for your situation, because of the urgency involved. I think you shoul have immediately phoned IB CS. I think they would agree with me. I suggest you phone them first thing in the morning, to determine whether or not you have a position resulting from the order. Maybe you should try chat immediately, to see if one of their international offices can assist you in any way.
IB reset time is from 11:50pm to 12:30AM. Can this push back a little bit later after mid night ? The reason is the Sydney gold market closes at 1:00pm EST, and Hong Kong Gold market 1st session closes at 12:30AM. This reset time post a big inconvenience to me, and sometimes it even causes me to lost money. My suggestion for the IB reset is anytime between 1:30AM and 3:00AM EST. London gold markets opens at 3:30AM EST. Thanks.
already pointed it out earlier in this thread: long term charts [1month especially--terrible] have only option of 1day bar and they impossible to read...previous versions had 1hour bar it and was ok...why on earth did u change, they useless as they are right now...hope u do somethin' 'bout it. tia
