Add a new market data column in TWS called "Gap%" that indicates the current market compared to the most recent close (i.e. yesterday's close during the pre-market and RTH, today's close after 16:00 ET): If Bid > Close Then (100 * Bid / Close) - 100 Else If Ask < Close Then (100 * Close/ Ask) - 100 Else Nothing "Nothing" should be represented as a blank, not 0.
Having a backup broker is still prudent. If the problem is IB's connnection to the CME/GLOBEX, then both floor activity and e-trading may be affected. If the issue is in our inhouse order or risk mgmt, the same would apply. But otherwise, yes we will allow an opening trade on SPX against a position in the e-mini.
First, let me thank you for your prompt and informative postings. As an emergency option, does your trade desk have the ability to phone orders, even if it is just market orders, to the floor?
A theoretical ability only, but not a practical one. We have phones on the floors, and people near them, but we aren't procedurally or manpower-wise prepared for phone communications. Given the current trend to migrate away from floors, I do not anticipate adding phone trading as a facility.
Hi! On this new version. Why do the charts get deleted, and I need to re enter my charts now every time I sign in ???
In the latest versions of TWS whenever you trade an option contract an equity data line appears which can't be deleted, this reduces my quota of data lines and I can't get option quotes!I have to go to Yahoo or something similar to get an option quote! I have emailed TAC a few times about this but the lazy pigs can't even bother to reply. Does anyone else have this problem?
