you are checking in the wrong place. transmit page is NOT the same as CHECK MARGIN. (look two tabs lower on the screen shot you posted). Transmit page is the $ value of the order(s) on the page that will be xmitted. This is particualrly helpful for a certain subset of users. So in summation, ifyou click the check margin tab, you'll get a figure that measures margin as opposed to the capital figure produced in your screen shot.
I would like to be able to set MIT orders to take profit for bracket orders. Currently we can only set limit orders to take profit. thanks
I used Mobile Trader a lot as I'm always on the road. However, it seems it has a 15 minutes session limit. Which is too tight and I think it is unnecessary. Can this be changed to 60 mintues or more ?
Closing Prices: I thought we just fixed the scaling on the closing prices for floor products but I see PB is still goofy. I'll try to get it fixed. Contract Info: an upgrade to include margins in the contract info application from the web site is already in progress. I would guess it will be avail in 3 weeks. If anyone has suggestions for other contract info you would like to be able to see, please send me an email via E-T.
I'd like to see, in the Check Margin window, the margin applicable to the particular order that you are checking, in addition to the total margin. That is, I currently have initial/maintenance requirements from existing positions of $4530. When I check margin on 1 ES (pre-market), I get: --------------------------------- BUY 1 ES FUT: Initial: 8467.50 Maintenance: 7680.00 --------------------------------- I'd like to see: --------------------------------- BUY 1 ES FUT: Initial: 3937.50 Maintenance: 3150.00 Total: Initial: 8467.50 Maintenance: 7680.00 ---------------------------------
First: Thanks for the ishare intraday NAV index quote fixes for all those symbols. And: I've had problems with basket share quantities not updating properly (all are round lots). When I get an execution of 500 on a 1000sh order, it will SOMETIMES (10+-% of the time), re-transmit the full 1000sh to be excecuted when I update limit prices. End result is overfill. I thought the problem went away, as 4-5 months ago -it occured very frequently, but now not nearly as often. I've been using baskets for some heavy volume lately, and have seen it surface again.
Basket Windows: Make column layout completely configurable (it appears to be, but insists on some columns remaining, like the percentage, multiple quantities, two copies of the ticker symbol, etc., and behaves unpredictably when trying to move/resize some of them). Make it store the user's layout, including the size of the main window, the individual frames, all column widths and positions, etc. Allow setting default answers for the rounding and program-trade dialogs. Add commas to total share counts and currency amounts (as was done in other places in TWS). Prevent the user from closing the basket trader window when it has live orders in it. I just did this accidentally, and now do not have access to the individual baskets any more - only all the orders on the pending page. Previously mentioned: Alow user to configure whether fill sound is played on fills of individual basket orders or not. People who use them for non-marketable orders need this. I currently have to run a program that watches for changes to the FIX exec .rpt file and play a sound when it changes, which results in multiple sounds when I get fills from outside the baskets.
Provide access to the 17:00 ET NYSE crossing session (I). This would be unique among electronic brokers AFAIK. I have the feeling that the orders are sent via DOT and reported just like normal NYSE trades - could be quite easy to implement. Might even bring some more volume to it if your institutional clients know about it. For those that don't know, this is a crossing session that occurs at the same price as the official NYSE closing. Buy and sell orders are matched on time priority, with any imbalance being cancelled.
on booktrader size on bid/ask when either lifted'n'hit or not, don't disappear...if don't refresh [re-center], the columns keep all those numbers forever and the cumulative size shown on top becomes a joke..nevermind da misleadin' aspect of it. can somethin' be done 'bout it? thx
