Why must the CANCEL ORDER hotkey share the same key that DELETES a row? Big pain in the a** to retype the symbol if you accidentally shift up a row. Can anyone explain why these two cannot be separated?
tws has crashed on me twice in the last three days. Been using several years and has not happened before. Wonder of stability of system is declining.
I found this is very annoying... If I log out of IB account via the Webtrader by closing down the broswer ( clicking on upper right corner X) instead of clicking on the "logout" button inside Webtrader. Then if I login account via MobileTrader right away, I will get the error message like" Your MobileTrader session has been closed. Please make sure you do not have an active TWS session." The delay can take up to five minutes or more... It means no trade for me in some critical moment if I accidently log out the account in a "wrong" way. Can this be fixed ???
it has to do with session mgmt in your browser. The session needs to time out before the system realizes you are gone and this takes some time. But it can be changed to recognize the absence of your window more quickly. Should be doable.
Not like TWS, the WebTrader has no means to know if your browser is closed. It is a Web application. Creation of these means is possible but it is not trivial programming task and I doubt we will have resources for it any time soon. The session is expiring by timer and it is set to 30 minutes if I remember correctly. So, do not forget to close your session. One workaround will be log in TWS (standalone or applet version) and log out.
IB-do something about your front page on web. it eats 95% of CPU, on my P3 computer, while i'm using firefox and about 65% with IE, without any other applications running. front page looks like christmas tree with all this flash stuff moving in all directions. because of all this, buttons on top(like fee, trading, etc) not shown at all(at least in IE)-after i get to the front page, i have refresh it, to be able see them. not all of your existing and potential customers have AMD 64 with few gig's of RAM. think about it.
