Anyone know if IB allows account transfers (from another broker) that have a combined municipal bond and stock portfolio? I have no need to trade the munis (just collect interest obviously), but occasionally trade stocks on margin against the value of the munis at my current broker.
Bump - anyone know if IB will let you hold municipal bonds in an account? I have no need to buy/sell them.
