IB retail pit access or not ???

Discussion in 'Order Execution' started by local_crusher, Dec 22, 2005.

  1. IB is a very good broker ... for screen trading

you might want to consider another broker for pit trading as this is a new can of worms for them
dealing with outside brokers for pit trades
also a good idea to have a backup broker
that can give you flash fills in the pit
or that has a good rep. in the pit traded markets
    you wish to trade

    good luck

Well, telling the truth on a website should be neither new nor novel.

I'm out $480, and they are telling me to shove it?

Did the order go dark blue on TWS? If so, I think the website is a red herring. It seems that, if these order types are not working yet, they should be rejected by TWS, not make the user think they are working.

    Two questions.

Anyone using IB's pit access to CME?

    and

When is the Cbot pit going to available.

I have noticed I can bring up a data line for CME pit contracts like Live Cattle. Does anyone know if these quotes are 10 minutes delayed or what the deal is with them??? I was trying to compare the LH Globex and the LH pit quotes to see but I could not tell (I am not currently paying for pit quotes).

I noticed this. I can get a quote line for the CME pit contracts. But for Cbot ---I can pull up ZC on Ecbot no problem ---but for the pit no quotes at all. odd that they give a quote line for CME pit and not for Cbot but yet you can get electronic quotes for ECbot grains.

Did you subscribe for CBOT floor on the account management page? CME options are coming soon. We are almost ready. NYMEX is next in line.
