The futures remained ok, but all my stocks stopped at 3:30pm EST. I thought my computer was having issues. It was IB's fault. Perfect timing, wouldn't you say!
Ameritrade L2 feed sucking big time the last few days. Some Symbols totally lagged by huge amounts of time, if you are not experienced and / or have another feed, they will cost you big time. At least the IB problem is obvious, you can shut down. Seems the extra volatility / volume must be exposing underpowered servers everywhere.
i like to see some explanation or at least conformation, that they have some issues too. with all due respect they usually in total denial, when it come to the facts. just let you know, IB, that every move i make is been recorded not only in your logs, but on my side too and there is very clear proof if it in screenshot above. if you are saying there is no problem today with quotes-you are big f** n liar. Sorry for harsh words but those quotes issues cost me a little fortune today.
I often see complaints such as those posted here claiming that it's IB's ,eSignal's, Tradestation's etc fault. Where I live we also had such problems many years ago when internet speeds were anywhere from 32k to 1Mbps. But nowdays when most everyone here has 100Mbps, we never have such problems in even the fastest markets. I'm not saying that 100Mbps is required, and I'm only guessing that those who do have these problems might lessen them by using a higher speed internet connection if your ISP has such.
i have 45/15 mb fios connection and i do believe this is more than enough for few quotes. i also have app that tracks ping and packet loss and i can assure you that there is no problem on my provider side at that time. However-after i see news with flood, tornado in NY and all those weather issues today.. Maybe some of the problems we seen today cause by those things....
No way to tell if its IB's servers or the feeds from NYSE, or whoever. IB should be up front about the problem however. Possibly it only affects some of their servers, but they should know about it. None of this has a thing to do with connection speed, Windows, or sunspots.
