IB & Pattern day trader rule

    IB enforces this rule in Canada

    The Canadain banks don't.With that number of trades you should eventually qualify for the active trader rates.

    Etrade, Questrade and tradefreedom didn't enforce the rule in Canada. not sure about Scotia itrade.

  3. I have an IRA margin account with IB with much over 25k
    can I daytrade ? is the PDT rule applies ?

  8. I am reading and it says " Us resident may open CASH or MARGIN IRA IRA maegin accounts may never borrow but are afforded all the other benefits of a margin account such as the ability to DAY TRADE"

  9. so my question if I have more than $25k in my IB margin account and I try to daytrade does PDT rules apply ?

    Yes. You may daytrade. All PDT rules apply.
