  3. I checked my tws settings as promised. Unfortunately that setting only pertains to bond pricing. When trading tbills and putting in a limit order it just sits there with a blue bar, submitted but not acknowledged. It had to do with a setting called "raw pricing" for it to be turned on to go through. Check out the following link, maybe it helps.

As said I never ever had problems as you described other than trading tbills.

Thank you for your reply and for your effort.

Following the link you have posted, I have re-checked my TWS orders presets carefully but everything seems to be as it should be. No luck there too...

I am very convinced that this issue has to do with IB's servers, as other traders experienced and reported similar issues.

I am hopping that they have found and fix it and tomorrow everything returns to normal.

I would call the trade desk and ask politely what's going on. I am using the US server which BTW You can switch as well if You wish so. Demo is not useful because You want to know what 's happening in the live account not demo. You can try placing limit order far from the prices in order to avoid fills and see if the issue is still there.

Hope It helps. If not I would switch broker as this issue is unacceptable. But fair sure the trade desk should tell You what's going on. Maybe they will not tell You exactly the reason but You may try to understand if It could be something related to your account, or ticket traded or whatever etc.

As I said, the pattern is that happens during time of extreme volatility. Especially overnight. I have seen this with ES, NQ, DAX etc.

Thank you for your kind reply.

You are right, I'm going to try and contact IB trade desk this time.

Now, would you please tell me how to switch to the US Server?

It would certainly help to exclude some possibilities or even resolve this problem, who knows?

  8. May I inquire POLITELY what it is with some of you guys to always ask politely? I mean being polite the first time around is good policy, but when things are messed up raising the temperature and volume does a fantastic job. Some people only operate when they are yelled at or scolded. Dont know whether it's a fetish they have or whether they were raised that way or whether they generally have a shit attitude to life that they suck at their normal work speed and quality. Raising the heat after having been polite works like magic.

Rui You have to open a ticket and ask them to switch to the US server. They do it over the week end. But be careful that It may be not a good move If You have your server in Europe. Personally I would inquiry before the trade desk and clarify what's going on as I do think the server is not the cause of the problems.

DAC I would agree with You depending on the situation. He never called the Trade Desk for this issue so say something in the line " go and f*** Yourself instead of a "Hi" It may be not a clever move. (especially with the guys of the Trade desk)

I will try the way you are suggesting.

Tomorrow I will also spend some time placing orders on the real account far from the current price and see if I can catch one screenshot with one of those hanging orders .

Not a nice task to accomplish though - for one side because it can take some time until I catch one, on the other side it is not exactly easy to do this on NQ when the price is volatile.

I will post when I have some progress.

Thank you again for your help.
