IB or Thinkorswim

  1. Hello,
I am planning to trade stocks and emini futures short term, hold 2-3 days, make about 10 trade a week. IB has better rate than Thinkorswim, IB may has better execution than Thinkorswim, but Thinkorswim has a much easier to use platform, but some people complains their data is not accurate. I need to open account with one of them, please HELP to make decision.
    Thank you so much!!!

The Thinkorswim platform just looks more familiar and may therefore be easier to use without doing any reading of the platform user manual. IB's TWS has a lot of capability that I think make it worth reading through the TWS user manual prior to setting up and using TWS. You will not regret opening an IB account.

  3. IB is the best broker I've ever used, without exception. You'll have to read the user manual.

  4. Thank you Catoosa and OldTrader for your input.

  5. Everything on IB can be customized. You can make the TWS platform look and feel very much like TOS.
