IB -- No Connection??

    So .... probably a switch is out on a trunk line.

    I like the modified route im on now - 20% less latency.

    Same here in Jakarta. Went dead when I was about to trade the AUD trade balance. Good thing I had not entered the trade before it went dead. Got the connection back on around 30 minutes later.

    could you tell me what is your latency??
    mine is about 69 - 74 ms to the U.S. server.

  6. Perfect timing. 10 Minutes till Nikkei closes and IB goes blank.

    Geezes fucking christ -- like I don't have enough things to worry about.

  8. Mine went dead too (Oz off HK). Fortunately I was stopping early anyway.

    Seems all back to normal now.

  9. The main IB site www.interactivebrokers.com is also not reachable (www.interactivebrokers.co.uk is even if some features are missing), but the account management menu is on the .com version.

    I am not trying to flame IB, but if there are modifications going on, it would be very nice to let people know.

    Guys,

    U.S. server is up and going...and has been-here.

    Switch(s) on a trunk line simewhere cuases these outages it looks like.

    edit: hk server is working also - i just traced it.
