One way you can do is to check your data subscription on data management page and see you have subscribed to the real time data or not. Other way is to compare a moving stock with the quote that you get through YAHOO Finance and see they are the same or not. Yahoo finance gives you real time data but you need to refresh the page (I believe)
yeah, I don't care, I don't even have SPY on my screen. I follow es and nq and ym. When I first typed spy on my screen (year or so ago) I got a msg to choose delayed quote or subscribe to real time. But I no longer get that msg so maybe they included stocks in the basic package.
since you don't trade even $30 worth of commission a month, check out your data subscription and if you are subscribed to it, you can un-subscribe to save $120 a year. When you want to trade, you can get your data from Yahoo and enter your trade using that data.
well, that's what we are asking. It use to be $120/yr waived for $30, so I never subscribed since I never trade stocks, and if I needed a spy quote I just typed it in and knew it was 15 minutes delayed. Now it looks like like futures and forex and stocks are all included in the basic package. Is that true?
I believe so but I am not 100% sure . You have to check in data subscription page. I just trade Stocks, options and ETFs. No Future and no Forex for me.
I agree yours. $10/M equal to $120/Y, is also equal to 50*120=6K, if you can live 50 years more. Therefore signing 10/M is same as 6K contract.
