  1. What is DBKFX? It is shown as an exchange for EUR.USD quotes.

Does anyone know a service that can send out e mail alerts for Forex target prices? I'm with IB now and want to stay there, but will consider anything.

    Thanks

  3. I am confused a little bit on liquidity in IDEALPRO

I recently saw 1 pip spreads consistantly on USD / EUR around the time london was opening 2:30 - 3 am EST

but later in the day with NY open @ 1 pm EST
( ok maybe london had closed by this time )
the spread had widened to 2 pips in USD / EUR ?

how come the spread did not stay at 1 pip ?

I don't know which day you are talking about. But if it was on the US holiday. The market makers might have loosened up. Typically, EUR/USD is one tick and you can put your order inbetween. I have seen many times with no spread at all. Are you trouble getting fills????

I have seen it in the Eur/usd and the Aud/usd. It does not sit there long. But you have to remember that more and more traders are using IB and working their orders in the ECN for all to see. If the spread is a pip wide or even 2 pips and traders are working inbetween---you get the defacto no spread. You can see those orders and execute against them.

  10. I think you mean a 1 pip spread. No spread means the bid and the ask are at the same price. Of course, this would automatically trigger a trade that would eliminate the "no spread" situation. The only time a 0 pip spread could happen is on a system with more than one level of credit worthiness where one party refuses to trade with the other.
