I absolutely stand behind these statements. No internet connection problems - Multiple dealing platforms, multiple real-time quotes/charts running so I would be able to tell if there was an internet problem All of the orders that I had difficulty with were acknowledged as sent off by the IB TWS. At that point it is in the system. And the notion that you are not trading with a market maker, that is simply not true... Review the customer IB agreement - bulletproof as everyone else's, you are trading against UBS, JPM, Bear, etc. nevertheless. See for yourself. Most trading is conducted in fast markets when there is buy/sell or market imbalance, technical or other event driven situations. So that is when trading execution matters most. There are no guaranteed stops ever, regardless of what the advertisements say. Brokers with guaranteed stop goes broke when people start straddling news announcements. http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=51116
IDEAL Pro FX - quote feed failure On 06/13 and now today, the IDEAL Pro FX quote feed is off/failing. Many pairs are 3-5 pips off the market. EURUSD is currently 4 pips off the market (the off/out-of-line broadcast markets are non-tradable prices as the market markers are really in-line with the market - have not tried trading where the market really is). 2x in 1 week. That is an extremely high failure rate. The more you look, when you get inside the numbers, the more you don't like.
MH - Can you post a screenshot. Also, please PM me the issues regarding orders not showing up in the queue and not executing as I haven't been able to find any of your mails / chats with the helpdesk concerning order issues with FX. If we do have issues that I am not aware of, then I want to get them fixed asap. Thanks.
I am not going to post my ID/account number here nor communicate with IB outside official means. I do not know what PM is... I am sure that I have been identified, marked and noted though by now. I have been on technical support chat for the last 30 minutes and they fixed the problem. So no screenshot possible.
Hi Steve, Can you give us details on the exact situation here? IB support says the reset has not changed. What is the start time of this process and the approximate end time? I would like to change my automatic shutdown and restart time of TWS so I can make my data hole smaller. I'm using the US servers. Thank you. MK
I know this isn't forex related but can I go slightly off topic for a second please! Can I ask the IB guys why my platform had no EURIBOR or short sterling prices from about 7pm London time tonight? The eurodollar futures were updating fine but not these - IB were showing no bid or offers at all. Wss this the case across all your platforms and if so why?
