Steve, I a was talking about execute order after specific time order which is a very nice functionality IB platform has but then if use that to try and execute a market/stp/limit order at certain time and add stop loss/limit to protect that you would need to put a known price on the stop/limit. People using the order to execute order after some time are not going to know what the stop/limit price is going to be. they would need a stop at some pip or % from the market at that time...
I am not getting Lastprice , Volume on USD/EUR JPY/USD, on Idealpro. Is that normal or something wron on my end. I just added these symbols to my TWS page.
Ok. So you wish to place a market good-after-time order, and if done submit an OCA with a profit limit order at price+X% and a stop at price-Y%? There is no way to do this through the TWS. You would need the API to do this, you could easily set this up modifying our Excel spreadsheet, otherwise you may wish to take a look at some of the 3rd parties which interface to us. (Software>>Toolbox Add-ons) You may want to start a new thread for this either on ET or on IB's TWS API discussion forume (Education >> Customer Forum). I'm sure you'll get some recommendations. simsim - you will not get volume on IDEAL-Pro, or Last. I realise the Last column is a little confusing at the moment. We may just take it off completely for IDEAL-Pro. Neither piece of information is very relevant for this product.
Steve, 1) What about adding a bracket order to a stop or stop limit (instead of a limit order) ENTRY order? I suppose that is also possible, right? 2) Is the default trigger method for stops for IDEALPRO(a cash product) on bid/ask or is it on the last method?
1) Ok. Thanks. Regarding the stop limit entry order with bracket, can I set them to be GTC orders? Will the orders be cancelled after the reset time? I am not familiar with using GTC orders. 2) In relation to other products, can GTC orders be applied to all order types including limit, stop, stop limit, conditional, bracket etc in all exchanges for all futures and options? LoosenUp- Please check our website. You can see the available order types for each exchange by going to Trading >>Exchanges and clicking on the exchange you are interested in. Seth - they should be tight all the time. Now, 10:30 HKT, Euro is 1 pip, Yen 2 pips.
when globex opened it seemed like the PRO FOREX dealers were a little wide ... and then they stopped quoting ... it did give me a look at orders in the book from some mini size retail customers NBBO ( away from the market ) looks to be tight again now USD / EUR 2 pips USD / GBP 3 pips USD / JPY 2 pips
