    Hello Friends,

I am planning to do some paper trading in e-mini ES/YM/NQ and options(equities/index ) and for that will be opening an account with IB.

    question:
    1) Do I need to subscribe to Market Data from IB for paper trading? ( I already have Tradestation to see that charts ).
    2) what added value does that IB Market Data Subscriptions add
considering the fact that I have Tradestation.

    thanks,
    koms

    1. yes, for real time data you'll need to subscribe to the data package.

    2. if you are going to trade via IB, the value would be to enter orders quickly and more accurately by clicking on the current price. IB's data is also very good during fast markets.

in any event, if you're going to be executing more than 7 round trip trades per month or more than $30 in commissions per month, the US data pack would be free.
