IB Margin Rates Still Raised

    The margin reqs of the index futures of Nasdaq and Russell have both come down slightly with the VIX, which means IB is operating on its new formula...and it seems they aren't going to revert...if an IB Rep is reading this thread..can you please comment on this? As also, on the margin tables, there is no daytrading margin reqs anymore, such as for Oil (CL).

    the average daily range and the average true range during the day has dropped significantly... we are back down to "normal" levels... has anybody seen margins drop? no... still at levels as high as triple what they used to be.

    Funny how they raise margins the minute price falls sharply but have you ever seen margins adjusted when price rose sharply (for example the parabolic rise the second quarter of this year?)
