I put them in random spots so you have to actively search for my postings. Dont want to make it too easy for the zero of you than follow me.

Here you go, 3d quarter results is in, as I expected. Timbar hill had its best quarter since 4th quarter of 2008 (lot of auto liquidations. ha?), Timar hills profit was 55% of all the profits in Q3.
For me that's the smoking gun,
our intrest & IB's are not the same IB makes record money when its clients are not.
Its clear that the with with owning timbar hill, IB owners have tons of conflict of intrest on how to conduct margin rules, liquidation, order types etc.

Yes I am using IB because of their markets reach, but I am fully aware of the conflict of intrest, and I don't use margin with them.

About those auto liquidations that surge with the kind of volatility we saw in Q3 . . .

Are the algorithms used to execute the liquidated trades simply a gift to market makers or are these computers fulfilling Best Execution obligations?

Definetly a gift to market mrakets, they buy everything from your account on a fire sale (you have to buy your shorts at the ask price, and sell your longs at the bid price).
The combination of autoliquidation and IB's partnership/routing to timbar hill is proving to be a very effective combinattion for... IB's pockets

Amazing. Is there ANY other broker that uses an algorithm to liquidate customers instantly the way Interactive Brokers does?

I've only complaints about IB regarding this stuff.
