IB margin accounts under 25K

    If you don't qualify as a pattern day trader and have a margin account of under 25K are you subject to T3 regulation? For example: Can I buy today, sell tommorow, buy tomorow sell day after etc. or am I restricted to the same rules as cash accounts.

    if you have a margin account with less than $25K you can do 3 daytrades within a 5 day period - and buying power will be updated real time - as ib told me few days ago. you will also still have 2:1 margin.
