When I login to my IB account, there is a popup "newer version available, please check for updates". I´ve been seeing this message for weeks, even though there is no update available. Any advice?
It seems to be some kind of bug. I usually upgrade to the latest version but not lately due to this problem. There *is* a newer tws version but when you try to upgrade then a new pop-up says you already have the latest one (which is not the case!). Definetely a bug somewhere.
To prevent this from reoccuring click on "Start" then select "Run" then type in "msconfig". When a window pops up click on the "Startup" tab. Uncheck "Check for TWS Updates", click "Apply", etc.
Ok, thanks to all, I checked the IB website, there was a newer version available after all, I updated, no more popup now.
