IB: Is there a way to prevent all orders to route to NYSE

  1. this doesn't work for me FWB & SWB. I called IB and they said that this is for european exchanges

  2. Do you know what FWB and SWB means?

    Edit: I guess i finally found it. My assumption was that FWB meant
    "F*** you, We got you by the B****", aka SMART :D

  5. I just don't know why IB is so against routing your order so that you can park on the ECNs? They can still do their market making by taking your order off the ECN and matching it, vs taking it off NYSE

  7. I agree. For me, it's at the point where I've begun looking at alternatives. I really want to be able to route to e.g. ARCA and cancel/replace without getting hit by huge fees. I probably cancel/replace 5-10 times per fill, so IB is simply not cost effective anymore. That's very disappointing, as IB in most ways is excellent.
