IB has finally implemented partial masking of account numbers in statement notification emails. Daily and Monthly Account Statement Notifications now show only last 3 digits of the account number.
Kudos to them.. you either are security conscious or you are hacked and robbed, it's not that complicated. I got hacked, probably through my account with auctionsniper.com, that's my best guess, and they got into my ebay account, made me a seller and put a bunch of ipods on sale there. Now ebay is billing me for seller services, I can't log in because the hackers changed my password and security questions.. and ebay is complaining because they can't get their seller payment from my old credit card on file with them. I don't care about the ebay stuff, they can't get any money from me and I can open a new account in 5 minutes but it was a nice wake up call.
