IB is down?

When I click TWS logo, nothing comes out, even not a login window.

 

Works fine for me. Just logged in. I'm in the US.

 

You need to upgrade to the latest tws. Apparently IB kicked in its forced upgrade a few days early.

 

Yes I noticed this yesterday as well. When IB says "Monday, October 10th" is the upgrade date, and then earlier TWS versions stop working on October 5th, it might be annoying to customers. Maybe next time, IB should double check their calendar.

 

Need TWS 851.x

No login for older versions (effective 10/02).

 

i was able to login on my standalone 843.7
scared to death to touch anything.

 

IB now only supports TWS versions 842.1 and above.

 

This problem is now fixed.

 

FWIW I upgraded to the new desktop TWS - kept the same Java and API - and I haven't seen any problems with my auto-trader system.

There are a couple new messages that show up in the Message Events and say something like "USA Server Farm Connection Okay" and "USA Futures Okay".

Other than that, seems to work about the same for me.
